Chamaedorea elegans, also known as the Neanthe Bella, Parlor Palm or good luck palm and dwarf mountain palm, is one of our favorite true palms. Parlor Palms are native to subtropical and tropical regions of the Americas. With the right care and many, many repottings, the Parlor Palm can grow to well over six feet tall. This palm is also called the Bamboo Palm because it has attractive bamboo-like stems that also spread similarly to bamboo. The Parlor Palm is a wonderfully graceful indoor plant that is easy to maintain and grow. Popular since Victorian times, this was a plant commonly found growing in home Parlors (and that's how it got its common name).
The beautiful, attractive and delicate appearance of the Parlor Palm is made up of light green fronds about 8in / 20cm long that have a dainty like texture which are loved by interior designers. Efffective at improving air quality and making it on to NASA's list of 50 Indoor plants that clean the air.
